Hoppy,
The switches you are seeking are getting very hard to find. The aftermarkets went out of production a year or so ago. Accasionally, the originals show up on Ebay. A common failure is the rubber boot splits allowing moisture inside which corrodes the center pin. The same switches were used on 74 and up JDX's, 00's, Cyclones/early Liquifires.
If you are not concerned about originality, use the later Fire-Series switches and handle-bar controls. One of the members here converted his Cyclone over and it looks very nice. Those switches are plentiful.

Fire series refers to the 79-84 jd sled lineup. Most common are trail, sport & liquiFIRES.

Another definition would be the Kawasaki powered models 79-84.

The newer style switches will not mount into the older plastic blocks on the handle bars. The old switches fit through a round hole. The new switches are flat and square with a "dovetail" that locks into the handle.
