Ignition Timing & Engine Temperature

Post by JDGuy »

Hi Guys:

I have read several posts here that said the timing changes as the engine warms up. I believe it as it relates to a change in idle RPM. But here is where my "logic" goes tilt. My "logic" says the the timing is set by the stator rotational setting in relation to the crankshaft/flywheel and the magnents on the flywheel as they pass over the stator shoes. That "logic" says there is no engine temperature effect. Where am I going wrong??? Is it in the CDI???

Thanks for the education in advance!!

Guy
