JDX8C and J44Fh For Sale

Post by iphoneelite »

I have a 1973 JDX8C and a 1978 J44fh. I bought them with the thought of restoreing them but I dont have the time nor money. The body panels are in rough shape and the seats need redone on both sleds. The engines dont fire up but they have been sitting for 3 years. Havent tried messing with them. I would like to sell them together. I would like to get 200 each if you buy both of them or 250 each if you only buy one. I live in indianapolis, IN. Message me if you have any questions or you want to see pictures. Thanks

Hey just in update. I messed with them a little today and got the J44Fh to fire up. It almost took off on the trailer that they are on. I sprayed starting fluid in the carb to get it running. With the looks of that one it needs all new fuel lines and carb cleaned atleast. Thats just the beginning on that one. The JDX8C I tried starting that one up but I couldnt get it to fire up. I checked the spark plugs and im not getting a spark from either one. Im going to look into that, I think the key switch is bad. Thats day one. Can you guys recommend any good places to get parts from? Thanks

i would recomend checking the red stop switch on the right hand grip. they are know to be faulty, i believe you can just disconnect it at harness to "bypass" it

I sold the JDX8C to wade. Took the snowmobile to him and was wowed by all the sleds he has. Thanks wade for the parts. I hooked up the new fuel line in the J44FH and it worked. I was going 60 mph up a huge hill. It was awsome. I am not going to sell the J44Fh right now maybe later. I want to restore it and ride it some this winter. Thanks again wade.

Be very careful with starting fluid because it generally leads to burndowns later in the equation.
