Where can I find parts?

Post by Funrover »

My '80 trailfire is about to be revamped. I now have the place to do it and can't seem to find anything here. Where does everyone find parts for these sleds? Any help would be great. Thanks!

What parts are you looking for?

There are lots of places to get parts. Depends what you need as to where the best place to look is.

Good Luck

The best parts suppliers I've found in my last restorations are Bob at Image Enterprises 715-479-7427 and Rich at Jdsledshed 989-292-2624. They've always had what I've needed.

30 year old sleds require some effort! mfgsupply.com is one of my favorites for general aftermarket parts. For specific stuff though, you'll have to use different sources.

Last Friday I orderd several hundred dollars worth of parts for sleds I am woking on right now. A couple of JD's, a SL Yamahopper and a couple of Cats.

All parts were ordered from Pat's and MFSupply.
So one week later and every single part I ordered is here!

Pat's Small Engines and Manufactor's Supply are great places to deal with. Cheap shipping, parts in stock and they have Vintage parts still.

I don't think Rich has a website. He's pretty low tech lol He's a definatly knows what he's talking about though.

Fixing or restoring vintage sleds and "saving $" is an oxymoron.

Talked to Rich today , super nice guy. Hes going to scrounge up a used 6F27 needle for my Sportfire carb. While talking to me he informed me he had 2 different computers for inventory as well a Blackberry. Hihi.
