1981 John Deere Trailfire 440 with only 368 original miles, has electric start, and is one of the nicest original Trailfire snowmobiles you'll ever find.

This vintage Trailfire snowmobile is all-original --- the paint shines beautifully, the decals are bright, and the original seat is soft, flexible, and perfect, the hood is perfect, and skis are straight and black. Absolutely nothing has been touched up or repaired, and only the windshield has been replaced with a new one.

This Trailfire has been fully serviced and is completely ready to ride if you desire. The carburetor has been completely cleaned, it has all new fuel lines, new crank seals, new starter rope, and suspension has been removed and axles greased. Even the normally-troublesome aluminum axles slid right out of the suspension brackets and looked like brand new. And it starts on the first pull of the rope and runs perfectly!

For those of you familiar with some of the nicer individual John Deere sleds, I purchased this Trailfire from the original owner, along with the 1984 Sprintfire w/ only 76 original miles that is currently for sale again by another individual, and another identical Trailfire w/ only 400 miles. They all were stored indoors since new under cover in an airplane hangar on new John Deere snowmobile trailers and are the nicest originals you could ever hope to find.
