Matt & Joe

I think the idea of an e-store is a good idea. Not to put more work on you guys

I'm thinking that "if you build it, they will come". Also, T-shirt or cap sales have been a traditional way to finance clubs, the web site is no different. I realize that there are copyright issues in some cases, but we can work around that.

This is somthing I'm hoping to do for next season. I'd really like to work out a deal with some parts suppliers so we have carb rebuild kits, pistons, misc. wear parts, etc. This would be in addition to any parts repro projects people here have. Also decal sets, perhaps paint if I can work out the deal with a supplier, etc.

I like this Idea, it would give us a centralized place to look for stuff/parts first. Also T-shirts and Caps is a great idea to.

Silk screening might be a lower investment.
You can do transfers with your PC and printer, but you really need the big iron/press, and I don't think the HP transfers last as long.
Anyone else have any ideas?

Easy there guys,

I don't plan on clothing. I do not wish to challenge JD's lawyers.

I have some photo mug equipment and button presses, if anyone really wants to go to town and do something like that. With the mugs a couple of years we put a picture of a demolition car before the race and after the race. You could do that with your sleds, a before and after shot. I'm actually trying to sell the equipment, but it's an idea. It can also do keychains, I don't have any heat transfer stuff though.

Well... Here is an idea, For the guys interested in Shirts, hats, ect. Why don't we start a JD Sled Club. I think everyone would have no problem spending a little on dues. Just think of the possiblities...Shirts, hats, discounts on parts to other members, possible get togethers(swap meets, poker runs, drags, shows) Just an idea. This site is a great resource, and great meeting place for Deere Lovers. But we can take some work off the guys running this awesome site. I would just like to see our hobby go further. I also would like to meet other Deere owners face to face. I think it would be a blast.

In practical terms, I think we already have a club of sorts, JDSLEDS.com
Looking at the number of participants, and the geographical distance between us, I'm not so sure that we can do alot better than this, at least right now.

Now, to Matt.
What I was thinking. If you don't want to mess with clothes, just let someone sell goods with the JDSLEDS.com logo at the site store for a fee per item, and you have an income stream to sustain the site.

Caps or jackets for example, would allow guys to recognize each other at shows or races.

As I said earlier, I know you can't use the name or logo of JD. But is JDSLEDS.com an issue?
