Odd clutch on 82 LF

Post by monte44 »

I haven't been around a real long time but I picked up a rough 82 LF that has a clutch on it called a quick shift?? It looks nothing like a comet. It has a real simple design like a comet duster. Anyone got any ideas on this? Thanks guys ALWAYS THIS BEST SLED SITE!!

Picked up a NOS one last year, was the "Sport" model, for sleds up to 60 HP. Put it on a JD 300 with the 295 Kohler. Engagement was a little high, but a very nice clutch. Looks like this:
