295/s fuel tanks

Post by Kurts »

How long is the pickup hose supposed to be on the mid tank? The front tank? How was the front tank hooked up from the factory?
Kurt.

I usually cut them long enough for the pickup to set on the bottom for both front and rear. I asked about the front tank switch a while ago, and the best solution seemed to be a 2-way switch. I hooked it up so the switch sat just inside the mid-take door.

Mine is set up with at two-way valve, but that was something someone added many years ago. Originally they were set up one tank connected to the next and the middle tank in line had a sealed gas cap instead of vented. It would suck one tank dry first and then the next.

I got mine 2 tank set system set up correctly, do not ask me how because a mechanic figured it out for me but I will be at Waconia and am happy to have folks tear into it to figure out how this guy did it. I do not think it has a 2 way valve/switch. But I will be the first to say I am not a mechanic just a guy that enjoys JD snowmobiles and the process of finding parts and turning them into new again.
