Crankshafts

Post by JDXsand00s »

During the summer I rebuilt a 440/21 and a 440/22. Each had different crankshafts; one had an opening of the wrist pin and needle bearing of 20mm while the other was 22mm. I have 2 more cranks the same way but only have pistons for the bigger one. Which engine had the bigger crankshaft and what type of engine should I try and get the pistons with smaller pins from, a 21 or 22?

Ryan,
The 440/22 series crank uses the 18x22x22 needle bearings.
