vm36mm power Jet

Post by tjsdad »

Hello all. I have had zero problems with the 82 LF until getting it out this year. I am getting too much fuel on the mag side cyl. The fuel pump was believed to be the culprit, so I replaced it with a new Mikuni. I have great spark, stator checks out on Ohms. Ive changed the HSR box to a spare. Several new plug changes, although it never fouls one, it is black and wet. Choke plungers good and adjusted fine with mirror and light. Needles and seats check out fine with vaccum. Jets and air screws check out fine. Slides syched. Compression 135 on both. New fuel. I still am rich on that cylinder. I am down to the rubber O ring on the bottom of the carb that seals off for the Main Jet circuit. I am thinking that it is worn or shrunk and letting the fuel bypass the o ring. When putting the bowl onto the carb, it feels loose like that oring is not "tight". The sled starts, idles and runs great until you want full throttle, then it acts like its loading up and cannot get more than 7000 rpms out of it. No rev limiter. I also have an EGT gauge on it, and at mid throttle it runs normal temps as of last year ( 1100' ), but at wot, the temps fall big time, so its rich. I have changed nothing from last year except a carb check and clean. Any one know where I can get some of these o rings? Thanks!
