78 Spitfire---no lights

Post by deerehunter »

I have a 78 Spitfire with no lights.Am getting nothing from the lighting coil in stator. Does anyone have a stock number for the Kohler 340 FA lighting coil? Any other JD coils interchange or lighting coils from another brand sled? Thanks.

Thanks Todd. Do you have a lighting coil from the sleds you listed? I'll probably see ya at Milbank swap. Dan

Probabaly, bring your bad one with or the whole stator to be sure.

Many of my NOS cat parts are not in the original packaging.

I know nothing about Kohler engines! The 340FA runs too good for me to start picking it apart, for now I'll have to run without lights. Thanks.

Nope, haven't looked any further into solving the light issue. If indeed the AC coils will work, will contact some fellow AC guys & see if they have said coil & go from there. Thanks. :winter:
