P85 Primary on a 80's LF

Post by 427cobra »

Anyone use a Polaris P85 on a 80's LF before?

Was there a spacer that needs to be installed? I have a P85 I test fitted today. Didnt seem like it would work.

Thanks!
Eric

Hi Eric,

I have not done it, but I am pretty sure other guys here have. But, my experiance with Cat clutches might help. The ZR drive clutch I used hit the chassis pretty bad, and would not seat on the crank. We had it taken apart, and the Watersboy put it in a lathe and machined the raised features of the back side. That gave me plenty of clearance, and no problems yet.

I hope this helps,
