I know of a few. Not that common even if they were bought as a pair, closest I have got is 23 numbers apart on a pair of Massey whirlwinds. A friend has pair of mint 1980 exciters that are consecutive numbers.

I passed up a set of 77 cyclone 440's that were 2 numbers apart. At an auction they were both needing ALOT of attention.. I stopped bidding @$125 for each sled. Sad thing is the idiot that bid $150 was buying them for aluminum scrap ????? Some people just don't get it! :bonk:

Bob bought two 79 Trailfires that were sequentially numbered. According to the guy who bought them originally the purchase was for six matching Trailfires. Don't know if they were all sequentially numbered or not.

And I took both of them to the scrap yard together. Kinda fitting that the come into this crazy world together then they go out together. :boohoo:

Jim as much as I would love to keep them together #238 has to come to PA.. for awhile.. Maybe down the road we can work something out.. Since we both like snowfires we should be on the hunt for #236 and #239 ! :lol22:

I remember back in "the day" when I was a younger man working in the Deere warehouse in Syracuse. I unloaded countless semi trailer loads of sleds from Horicon and stored them in the warehouse. As dealers came in to pick them up I tried my best to load sequentially serial numbers on the same dealers trucks when I could. I know many dealers would have had consecutive numbers.

The pair of 76 Cyclones I have down in my Fort Worth garage are only one serial number apart: 55720 and 55722. Close as I have to concecutive numbered Deeres.
