WTB....Maybe

Post by WinnipegStPaul9 »

I have decided that my Cross Country and 340/S are too high maintenance and fragile to ride as I like to ride. I've been working on Sean's 83 Liquifire and quite frankly love it. I mightbe in the market to purchase an 83 or 84 but I am not interested in doing a restoration. I found out a long time ago you can't get the money out of a restored sled that you've put in it. If you have a sled you think I might like feel free to contact me at bison1112002X@yahoo.com (remove the X) with pictures. It's hard decision for me to make, putting the CC and 340/S "out to pasture" but that's most likely what will happen. At this time, neither are for sale but if you feel you might be interested in either, let me know and we'll talk.

Thanks and have a Happy New Year!!

DA,

Until you find a Liquifire you like. Dont turn a blind eye to a Sportfire. You might be surprised. They run pretty good and they are nice and light to boot.

Brice, Bob, Sean and I were talking last night and said the same thing. An 83-84 Sportfire would interest me as well.

The 82-84 LF's are fine sleds. The HSR cdi box makes ALL the difference! I now avoid the 80-81 LF's unless you do a swap of cdi boxes and startors. The hsr swap has made two 80 LF's now run and start like they should. Good luck on the hunt. P.S. If you run into to many of those "pesky" 84 liquifires send them my way. I'll buy them all day long!!!!

DA I think you are making a good choice as far as going to the Kawi powered sled. I don't want to start an arguement about which is better. I have experienced both sides good and bad ! Also I like what Joe said about the sportfire don't shut the door on them either. These sleds are super reliable and fun to ride. I believe with some clutch adjustments, timing advancements, and gearing they could ride along with the Liquifire. The 83/84 seems to be alot more elusive than the Liquifires though.. just my thought :usa:

Ps don't be in any hurry to sell off your other sleds Ryan loves both of them and tells me he would "vote" for MR Don's   :usa:

Good job, DA! Now it's a cinch you'll be spending the rest of the winter mowing the lawn while the snow gods laugh at you.

Sure is a lot of fun to cheer when your friends spend money on such things. Pictures, please.
