1976 liquifire restoration

Hey guys! New to this forum stuff. I've got a 1976 liquifire 440 that I'd like to restore but would like some ideas and direction. Already have tons if pictures and know to keep everything where I know what it is and where it goes. I guess my biggest thing is how do I go about the painting process. Like the best DIY tips. How about replacement skis? I guess everything doesn't have to be 100% oem. I do work in a polaris dealership so I can get literally any part aftermarket. Any help is great help. Thanks guys
