I'm getting ready to put my engine back together and just wondered if anyone could recommend a sealant?? I have used hondabond & yamabond before with good luck. How about just a good silicone sealant available at ACE Hardware??

I've been using Threebond 1194 - I was selling it in the store but it's been discontinued.

Re: Engine sealant????
As it only takes a very thin layer to seal an engine a tube of the correct sealant will last years.
Don't cut corners here.
And remember is it is running ont on the outside, it is running out on the inside.
And sealant makes horrible bearing lube.
