What is factory main jet size,78 Liquifire 440?
What are the standard size main jets for a 78 Liquifire 440? Just about done rebuilding mine,old pistions looked burnt from running lean,had 220's in it I swapped in a pair of 230's.

I noticed this right away " Jet Needle 6DH4-4 " so they want it to be out of the main jet starting at the crack of the throttle, IF yours weren't in the 4th slot this might be where your problem was??Grumpy

Hmmm,will have to check that. Your talking about having the clip in the forth slot counting from the top,down,thus raising the needle. Bought the sled last spring,engine was already hurt and pistions looked like she had been lean-no pistion wash at all. Cleaned carbs,bumped main up 1,did not know what factory was and did not know if this was tinkered with in the past. She starts,sounds good now but no load on engine yet,need to open up the chain case and pull the skid out next!!
