1980 liquifire lights and tach not working . . . ideas?

hey guys and gals, i was out with my liquifire on a relic run this weekend and lost my lights and tach on the way home, what would cause both these failures at the same time? any ideas? thanks

Check for loose connections from stator

My father in laws trailfire did the same thing. After putting a Cdi in it he figured out that when he plugged in the stator it pushed two of the metal prongs in and it wasn't getting a connection. He was able to hold the back side of the plug while he plugged it in.

Try a new bulb in the taillight. If it blows its the voltage regulator. Those bulbs are cheap.
