chaincase lube

Post by Rodimus Prime »

although manuals are currently printed stating 90 gear lube it is NOT recommended. there was a service bulliten advising to 50 wieght oil in chaincases..

there is a syntetic chain case lube that is preferable for all chaincases silent or not. use this in place of oil

incase someone is wondering 90 gear lube in COLD temperatures dosent lubricate. evidence of this problem is shot or siezed chains.. worn or broken toothed gears, melted bearing seals. loose bearings not cause by rust. and of course shot tension adjusters.

extreme damage may occur to case if chain snapsand or bearings disintigrate.
