SHOF inductee Bob Enns biggest win

Post by JRC ETD »

There is a picture CJ took of Bob sitting on his Liquidator after crossing the finish line and winning the Heartland Grand Prix...this was in Snow Week, I'm sure Steve can find it and post. Brian is congratulating Bob while he's having a smoke. In a single days work Bob made 10k prize money beating woods racing champions like Karpik, Doug and Stan Hayes, Archie Simonson, Brian Nelson, Doug Denhart, Chester Bowman, Zutz, Bassett, Otte, Ebert, and 200 other riders in the fastest, most dangerous course on the ICCSF circuit. This is significant because the Heartland course was comprised of 100 MPH logging roads and very technical woods racing, conditions that don't exist in Oak Bluff Mantitoba where Bobs riding and racing style developed. Bob has earned many great victories, but on this day he put his abilities as a racer on the front page of Snow Week and on his competitors short list! It will be our honor to induct Bob to the SHOF in Feb and in Alex during the 500...don't miss it!

Looking forward to seeing Bob and the others inducted to the SHOF this February. Would not miss it!
I have thought about that too. How did someone so far removed from woods riding get so good at it? Maybe in his acceptance speech he will shed some light on that. (-:

I'm still hoping for a chance to hear Bob tell in his own words, the story of his taking a Dator home for Christmas to do a bit of I-500 pre-running, only to acquire some stitches in his backside. That meant his leathers needed a bit of repair too.
