Primary clutch for 340s

Post by MWB »

I was told the Comet 102C clutch won't work on my 340s. They said I would have to use the 94. What are you guys running?

Good idea checking here. The 102C came standard on the 340/S but with a dust can. Most have removed the dust can.

Don is correct, the 340?S was the first Deere sled to use the 102C, which was designed with some input from Deere engineers.

The clutch used on the 340/S had a different offset than what was used on later production models, but as long as you align the clutch with the secondary properly, I don't think that causes any issues.

The 102-C clutches saw several design changes made during the years they were used on the Kioritz engines.
