Post by 427cobra »

Looking for a new recoil spring for a 80 LF.

Anyone have a source? Looking on eBay I'm not sure what one will fit..

Thanks

Eric let me know what you find, I keep playing the "Have a few on the shelf ready to go game" as I had two recoil failures yesterday back to back on my TF and LF, I even went through both of them before they were installed last season lol, seems like these recoils have been nothing but problems throughout my life!

I have been collecting Kawi engine recoils and plan to start rebuilding them. Some of what I have might be just fine but I prefer going through them to make sure. If I do this will there be interest in paying about $40.00 plus shipping and a rebuildable recoil? Currently I have no recoils for Trail/Sport with oil injection.

I would pay that for a rebuilt one if you start doing it.

Well Eric if it's only a spring you want I'll disassemble one that needs rebuilt and send it to you.

I just bought a couple of new recoil springs for my 2 Liquifires on Ebay, as well as the kits to rebuild the rest of the recoil that includes the pawls, pawl springs, and backing plate. Pretty reasonable price and it will make your recoils like new again. Jeff

Good to know, like I said I have a fair amount of "used" ones that I have re gone through, but I would imagine that a new spring would be much nicer inside
