Does anybody reproduce the decal on the early mid mounts? It is located above where the VIN and the type are stamped into the tunnel. Tried to load a pic but my file is too big.

Re: 1972 VIN decal
Greg S. aka Toymechanic has done it. He made me a few a couple years ago. Unfortunately, the decal would not release from the backing paper.
So, I still need one as well.
What are you working on Maynard?

Re: 1972 VIN decal
I picked up a 72 500. Restoration had been started on it. The motor has been rebuilt and the tunnel and hood have a beautiful paint job, The gentleman that had it has some other projects that he is working on. Most of the parts are painted and ready to go so I just have to figure out how to put it back together. The bumper is bent, but a replacement came with it but I believe it is for a 295/S, so I am looking for a bumper. I suppose finding a NOS one would be slim to none.

Re: 1972 VIN decal
The 72 bumper is unique in that it attaches at only 4 points. 73 on up at 6 points. So a bumper may be hard to find, but you wont have as much competition for it in my experience, if you find one.
The one originally on my 72 is straight, but is so rusty that I don't think it is a good candidate even for re-chroming. Put an ad in the buy/sell here and see if anyone has one.
