Hello,
I'm looking for the pieces of an electric start kit for a 78 Liquifire. I imagine that all 76-78 Cyclone and Liquifire units are the same. I am primarily looking for the battery box and starter motor, I think the rest can be retrofitted with new parts. Let me know what you have.
Thanks
Mark

Mark the cyclone battery boxes are not the same as the Liquifire battery boxes. I have been looking for one of each . All I need is the brackets condition does not matter. The plain box I have in stock. Hope this helps John

There is no true e-start kit for the 78 liquifire. The location of the upper cooling radiator is mounted in the same place as the 76/77 battery box. Also, the ignition switch would need to be swapped out for the earlier 76/77 style if you were to wire it up.

Re: Wanted: 78 LF E-start
Well I guess that's not the end of the world. That way a guy could just make his own bracketry around a modern smaller battery. The switch and starter relay are generic parts as far as I know. Does anyone have a starter?

My advice is to stay with the Lawn and Garden size battery. They only cost $25. I think the size is U-1.
Smaller batteries are twice the money , don't last as long and have less cold cranking power.
