Wanting to find a Sportfire or Liquifire in the Midwest.

Post by christoner2002 »

Having the itch again, and I am looking for a project sled. Would love to find a 80-81 Sportfire or Liquifire close to North Central Illinois. A Sportfire is number one choice. Complete would be best, but can work around a few missing parts. Been searching CL in the area. No such luck so far. A couple hour drive would be ok for me. Located in Peru IL. Anyone know of any?

I have a super nice 81 sportfire. Came from Colorado. But I'm from Doon IA so idk if that works for you.
Will need crank seals put it to be safe, perfect original seat. Looking at $650
Many new and used parts available, I ship anywhere. Thanks everyone.

I will keep that in mind. Looks like you are almost 8 hours away, and I am looking to do some mods to it anyway. Something that nice would be better for someone wanting to keep it all original. But who knows, my mind may change. Sounds like a very nice sled. Could you post a pic or two?
