Just woundering if theres a real diffrence? I see alot on e-bay listed as #1 & #2 external coils & condensors. Pistons right side and left side. Keep in mind this is for EARLY 70's JD's.

dont think theres any difference at all the stuff your seeing listed by dktrader keep in mind is most likely being listed by someone who doesnt know sleds as they are a big company these people most likely are just typing the info that corresponds to the part number

X's&O's,
The early sleds serial number -2000 with the ccw engines used 2 different condensors according to the parts book. The original external coils on the engines also had defferent part numbers because one coil had a longer spark lead than the other.

I'm thinking that another thing we have talked about over the last couple of years, is that one coil has a red wire, the other a white. The aftermarket just sell one coil.

Yes the external coils that are on it have the gray wires and have the same # ING 082 also I have one extra coil that says #1 fan and has a white wire. Should they be different #'s then even being after market?

The aftermarket seems to sell just one coil. Deere had several coils. One thing that the service manual mentions is the the Denso and Kokusan systems are opposite polarity of each other.
I guess they work, otherwise they would have to sell more than one coil.
I figure the different colored wires are just to help you connect the correct coil to the correct point set.
