I have sent my TR800 off to be rebuilt and now left with only a 102. And trips coming up before its return.
I know that you shouldn't run the 102 with the factory secondary set up for the Tr800, unless you modify it by removing a spacer?
Or, can I just put on an AM54981 (secondary used up to 190,000)? I know the drive shaft is a tad longer on the 190,000+ but would it make a difference?
What's out there for solutions?

Re: Liquifire secondary adjustment
I have had no issues replacing both styles of clutches with 108 C or EXP units. This would be the inverse situation, but I don't see why it wouldn't work temporarily if your 102 is calibrated for the Liquifire. Don't mess with an older style secondary, shims, and such because you're making more work for nothing. The only concern would be the wider belt with the smaller diameter of the 102, but just don't go racing. Otherwise, try to locate a proper 30 mm bore 108 series clutch. The Janesville WI boys ought to be up and running by now on building new clutches.? Not sure.....have seen new 102's on ebay but not 108's.

Re: Liquifire secondary adjustment
The posts on the 82-84 LF are an 1/8" taller, swap that sheave for the shorter post sheave and your good with the 102. I have the upgraded shafts on my 80 twin LF's offset was not an issue.
