2017 I-600 Day 3 TRF to Bemidji
Glen Wasmuth's pit crew for the 2017 I-600, Maynard (Gumbo Farmer), Rick, Edna (Glen's wife), and myself were very happy to see Glen complete the Vintage Class. With the same sled and suit that he got 14th place with in 1975!
I and the rest are getting ready for the Ride with the Champs this week so we are busy. Maynard (who is also a accomplished armature photographer) took 165 photos from Rick's support truck, with a long lens camera. I will try to downsize the pics and post some here. I believe all of the other Deere riders of this event are also on this SD card, so as time permits this week, we will try to post some of them and I hope others will help fill in the blanks. I do not do Facebook. So you will see them first here.....

It was great to see Glen finish the race. It took alot of determination to accomplish the feat. looking forward to see some of the action shots. I was too busy pit crewing for Rainville and Matt to see much of the vintage action.

For you guys not on facebook, I posted this picture of Glen with the following caption:
You may be tough, but your not as tough as 70 year old Glen Wasmuth of Battleforge Saskatchewan racing the I-500 with the same sled and gear he ran in the 1975 I-500!" That pic has received over a 110 "likes" and many positive comments supporting Glen's amazing accomplishments.
I would also like to congratulate Matt Gabler on his first I-500 finish on his first attempt, well done Matt.
