80 LF Fuel Pump

Is there an updated fuel pump for the 80 LF? I went on New Breed's website looking for a gasket kit for the fuel pump, but they recommend a DF-52 pump. Whats the part number on the original pump? Do they make a gasket set for the original pump?

DF 52-73 is the replacement pump with inlet and outlet spigots oriented correctly for bolting on the chassis. Gasket kits are available but when you consider the time, expense, and trouble to rebuild, the new pump looks appealing. Rebuilds aren't always successful and the new pump is shorter in the tight space under the air box.

The old pump had an automatic fuel shut off feature as I remember and it could be hit or miss. Best to add a fuel shut off valve with the new pump that Pat mentions, especially if you trailer on some rough roads that could cause float bounce and flooding.

Thank you gentleman, I'll order a new pump today. The shorter pump will help, I put the shorter carb mounts on so the air box could be easily removed, this will give me some more clearance.
