80 Liquifire Secondary Clutch End Play

Hello. How much side to side free play should there be on the secondary clutch? When I removed the secondary bolt I noticed that it was preloading the clutch. I saw the helix back off as I removed the bolt. Every other sled I have owned has had some play side to side on the shaft. Is this correct? If not how much play should there be? I can remove some shims from under the bolt. Thanks.
