I got lucky today - new belly pan sides

Post by Fire22 »

I bought these today, belly pan sides that have never been installed, I think for a 79 Trailfire judging by the colour. I was thinking they would go on my 81 Sportfire when I start the restoration. I bought a pair of ZRT Fox shocks that were advertised as just rebuilt, I wasn't sure if they were or were not so I threw out a lowball offer only to annoy the seller. Turns out the seller does repairs including shock rebuilding, any way we made a deal and I told him that I wanted to eventually install these on my Sportfire and then out came the phone to show pictures. He said, oh yeah, I remember those, I think I have a pair of belly pan sides for one of those, he did, these never used ones which he was happy to sell to me rather than toss out.

Just so you know they are different, but may fit.
Many new and used parts available, I ship anywhere. Thanks everyone.

They are different, looks like the area around the spindles pushes out further on my 81 Sportfire than does on this. Also looks like when the skies are turned to the extreme, there is plenty of room. I will have to test it when the time comes.
The one side on the Sportfire has been damaged and an attempted repair at some point in its life, this is why I want to replace. If they don't fit I will sell them or just hang them on the wall.

I picked up two quarts of paint today form the Case dealer, they said it was getting hard to find in the oil base, everything is going water based so they found two quarts at another dealer and brought it in for me, $90 crazy bucks (Canadian) for the two cans, I asked if the were planning to spray it for me also at that price. The code is B1756N as stated in other posts on this great forum.

Lucky again,
No one can argue that flames and antlers do not go together.
