I'm rebuilding my '93 XLT and a friend generously offered to give me an XCR 600 top end to use on it (my top end needs some work). Will that be compatible with my XLT crankcase and crank, or does the XCR case have different dimensions, bolt holes, etc.?

Hi Ryan,
I am not a Polaris expert by any means, but I belive the XCR is built like the 800cc Storm with separte jugs and heads. Meanwhile, you XLT (Extra Light Tripple) has a mono-bock and one piece head set up. I doubt the two will interchage. And, I think the XLT was piston ported, while the XCR was case reed too.
I hope this helps,
