can l get any more spring in the back end or is it just a stiff ride ?

Inspect the suspsension to see if everything is free and not binding. The suspension is adjustable somewhat. The suspension is only about 4 inches of travel. The adjusters are the long bolts which connect the aluminum spring mounts to the underside of the tunnel. The lighest you can set them is by turning out(counterclock-wise) the bolts until at least 2 threads are still above the nut. Set both sides equal. If you weigh under 175 lbs., you will experience a stiff ride.
You should get a service manual for a complete explaination of the slide suspension.
