put in new gas lines
i put new gas lines in with a check valve and cleaned the plugs and the sled is running a little better but still bogging out whenever you give it gas but it idles well. I was going to try to run the engine with the belt off and see if it runs better with no tension on it but am not sure of the easiest way to get the drive belt off. Should I even try this? Either way I should probally know what the easist way to change a belt is. The engine bogging out is driving me crazy
The carb is getting plenty of gas now I can see it through the new lines.

To remove the belt, you grab the driven sheave, twist and pull it open. You then pull the botton half of the belt up into the gap, and this will give you enough slack to pull the top half over the edge and out. You don't mess with the clutch end of things at all, except to pull the belt out after it is off the driven end.

your bogging could be due to alot of different things , the carb could have somethin messed up in it , one problem i just came across was a simple fix , it was on an 800 , it would run strong out of the gate and then just start to die off , i checked the fuel lines and was watching , and the fuel in the return line would start flowing back to the carb , so i checked and had a clogged vent tube , it started building pressure in the tank and not letting it run , it would bogg down and almost die , start looking at your problem areas and just watch things when it does its bogging and trouble shoot from there
