HELP!!!!!!!!! 1979 Spitf

My '79 Spitfire with a 340 kholer engine has no spark. I want to get it going before winter but last year it quit on me with no spark. I replaced the stator and plugs and it worked fine for the season then quit again with no spark. This has become a mystery to me and has made my brain itch way too much. Any Help would be greatly appreaciated. As I really want to keep riding my Little Deere to prove to the Skidoo Guys that Nothing Runs Like A Deere.

most of the time it is the cdi box on the spits that go for a dump. ed
