Can anyone tell me were i can get rings for a 83 sportfire

The short answer - you won't. You need to but a piston and ring set. They are reasonably priced and available aftermarket.

piston number 09-689 Or if you really really want custom rings made i can get some.

Can you still get rings?
94' Polaris indy classic touring500(girlfriend loves this 2 seater). Running
83' JD Snowfire 53rd one off assembly line (barn find in newton,iowa) currently under restoration.
1979 Kawasaki invader(has had a 440 put in but have original 340 motor-needs restored).
