arctic cat cheetah

insead of coming home with the yamaha i came home with a cheetah
and is supose to run but it has no spark, great compresion
would like some info on this sled and how to get spark

let me know what years they were made and how to verify mine

is it cdi or points

can you unplug the kill switch if your not sure if it works to try to get spark
i tryed all different kinds of plugs--no luck

it has no seat any cheap cheap $$$ ideas of a good replacement

Post a pic of it and someones could likely identify the model year

It could be CDI or points depending on the year. This should be quite obvious by looking at the external coil.

Most Cats run normally closed ignition systems. so unplugging the kill switch or ignition switch will result in a no spark condition. But if it's early seventies, it will have a normally open system where unplugging the switches will allow it to spark

Hmmm on the seat. That is a tuff one. Just get a seat cushion or get the seat off of another sled and make it work. You can run without seat but i would stay away from Jumps. BOB
