well i just found one but how can i tell what my snowmobile is like 2fa or stuff like that

I believe the '78, '79, '80 spitfires had the K340-2FA Kohler
engine.

In 1980 the spitfire went to the Kawasaki engine and there seams to be many other changes in the name of cheaper production. Currently working on a 78, 79, and 80.
The 80 is the only one it does'nt bother me too much to modify from stock. Jingles.

Guys,

Just so you know, the 78-79 Green Spitfire's share a crank with the Model 300 and the 73 JDX-4. The Kohler 340 F/A has the same crank as 295AX.
