I HAVE 2 IDENTICAL SLEDS BOTH ARE GEARED AND CLUTCHED THE SAME. ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THERE JETTING, AND DIFFERENT MODEL ENGINES. MEANING-TC440A-C202, AND TC440A-F202. THE SLED RUNS GREAT BUT IT SEEMS TO CUT OUT OR STOPS AT ABOUT 7500 RPMS. THE OTHER RAPS OUT AROUND 9. I DISCONNECTED THE REV LIMITER AND CHECKED CARBS, CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THE SLED WON'T REV.
COULD IT BE THE DIFFERENCE IN COIL AND CDI? THE PROBLEM SLED HAS AN ALL IN ONE SETUP.

just because they are the same doesn't mean that they won't have the need to be clutched different.
sound to me like the low RPM one might have a clutch weight sticking or too heavy of weights in it.
unless you have 2 motors, clutchs, ect. blueprinted the same, bottom line is they are not the same & won't run the same.

Do Anti-War Protesters have reunions? If so what do they TALK about?

I'VE CHANGED CLUTCHES,SPRINGS, WEIGHTS,ETC. IT DOESN'T SEEM TO CHANGE MY MAX RPM. IT WILL GO LOWER BUT NOT BEYOND 7500. SO I GUESS RE-PHRASE! IS 7500RPM MAX ON CERTAIN KAWASAKI ENGINES? RESONING- I ALSO HAVE AN INVADER THAT HAS RPM AROUND 9.ice wrote: I HAVE 2 IDENTICAL SLEDS BOTH ARE GEARED AND CLUTCHED THE SAME. ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THERE JETTING, AND DIFFERENT MODEL ENGINES. The fine tune manual say's the governed speed is 8000 to 8200 RPM (now take in acount that the tachs are only +or - 10% accurate) so it should still run up more than 7500 RPM
1st make sure that mice haven't plugged the muffler with something.
Is this 7500 your getting right when you punch the throttle or at max speed on snow?
I need to knowthis I guess before going any further.

ken this all happens at full throttle on snow. i never thought of plugged exhaust though. i took her for a spin to night and noticed that i had to back off the throttle a bit to smooth out,. could my timing be off?
one more thing- what about the power jet? how does this effect performance?
i'm running a 140 main 110 power 25 pilot 3.5 cutaway. all in all the sled runs great just can't get the rpms to rev up. also does engagement effect top rpm? i have engagement at 4000.
