'83 Sprintfire suspension springs

hey all, Fairly new to the world of JD sleds. One of the two springs on the front part of the rear suspension of my '83 Sprint is broken. Where can I get a another one; preferably used or OEM? Or, is there a generic spring that would fit this? Not too many JD sleds around NE Ohio; so used parts would be hard to find. Also, since front "axle" is "frozen" inside its tube, any tips on getting it out so that I can replace spring? Thanks, has been a good winter here so far!!! SlimT

Cant help you getting it out, but I think dk-trader on ebay had some not long ago. Find their user name and email them. Otherwise central snowmobile should be able to help too.

Central Snowmobile still has them. They are 9.99 a piece. You might as well order all four.
