If you fuel lines split from old age maybe your pulse line has split also.
This would cause the fuel pump to operate intermitantly.
Most noteable at high rpms.

buy the way if you want to update wut sleds you have, click on ur name when your logged in, top left hand corner, then in the middle of that page click edit my signature
on the sleds, sounds like a fuel problem, or air is getting in something

Couple things to check 1 would be squirt gas in the carb or spark plug holes and see if it fires just to have gas in the lines does not mean its getting into the carb it does not take much crude to stick the inlet needle on these carbs. If the needle sticks closed the gas will fill the line right to the carb but not the bowl of the carb. If it wont fire on the squirted in gas do a compresion check you may have burned a piston from a lean condition specially if it happened going fast.

I am thinking Andy may be right.
Pull the plugs and look in the hole with a flashlight.
If you see a hole in the piston....... bad news.
Also look for white specks on the spark plug electrodes.
If all looks good , test compression.

Just a shot in the dark here. You say your gas lines split? Sounds like they musta been pretty rotten. Perhaps some of the plastic particles from inside the gas line made it into the carb and are now lodged in your needle valve causing the carb to pass fuel into the crankcase which would in turn, cause your engine to hydralock which would make it difficult or even impossible to crank over. Hope that's all it is and that you don't have serious internal engine damage.

well good new for now lol i un thawed it in a warm shop and took the carb off again and figured out the needle valve wasnt shutting all the way again so i bent it down even more now and it started after about 15 20 pulls didnt ride it that much because the air box wasnt on by the way what is the easiest way to put the airbox and crb boot back on i always have a heck of a time getting it on well thanks everyone for the help and ill come back if something else happens lol
