I know they wont.
Its a different engine family. Trailfire is the Kawi T1 And the Sportfire/Intruder is the Kawi T7.
The foot and porting is very different.

Magnus is dead on correct. The T-7 Sport/Intruder motor has a wider center distance between the cylinders, and a different base gasket than the "T-1" Trailfire/Drifter type motor.

Sadly, this would have been good info to have about a week ago, as I dismantled a 440 intruder and my 440 trail. I guess I will have to find another way to install dual carbs on my trailfire. A set of dual carb intakes for the 3-bolt kawi cylinders went on ebay for $130 for the pair! Yikes. Anyone need a good running, now partially dismantled 78 440 intruder?

Dont sell the intruder stuff....buy a sportfire case, crank and mountplate.
Bolt the intruder jugs on and voila, a twin carbed trail you have

Omaha, NE. I put it back together and it now sits out of the intruder sled I bought for $150. Seems like the simplest thing is to put it back in the intruder, and call it a day.
