Mark

They made 420 according to the information I have directly from the factory.
Just barely enough for all the snow bound states,Canada, and over seas
to catch a glimpse of them. .........

Mike,I didn't know that my buddy was the one that stopped/looked and bought these sleds I knew it was my old sled that I had purchased new but I didn't want my blood to start boiling over these old deere's again well my buddy brings this sled into the shop last night and says MERRY CHRISTMAS it's yours----again WOW all I have to do is clean up the trailfire that he got also so I'm gonna go completely through the trailfire front to rear since it's so nice and has electric start .My old sled when I sold it had around 800 miles on it and it now has 865 and still retains the original drive belt and yes the TR-800 clutch I started cleaning it up last night and she shines good yet came with the original cover thats like new also.Only thing I screwed up on was when my wife drove this I put the taller windshield on it for her and yes you guessed it I think I threw the original sport windshield away thinking I wouldn't need it anymore for anything )(*$# anyway it's back home for good this time!!!!!! Joe. I have always wondered what the 84#s were. I actually thought there was a lot less than that. My local dealers never brought in any 83s or 84s. They still had 81s and 82s in the crate. I have never seen an 84. Peter

Kenny .... expain more .... not sure what you are talking about?
I will find out for you though .......

This info is not based on serial numbers. It is the toal number
that came off the line.

Peter ...... These things are scarce ...... if you stop and think about it,
if say about %30 of these machines are no longer on the face of the earth
due to the scrap yard and you spread the reamining out all around the
snow states etc ..... they are few and far between. Aside from the ones
I saw 20 years ago, I have only seen two in the last two years. Hudziak
bought one of them and I own the other. On the other hand I have seen
over 10 different Dators in the last two years from at least 7 different owners.
I would have to bet if we took a poll from all the 84 Liqu owners on this site
we would come up with less that 15 ..............

I'd say less than 5. I have only seen two others besides mine-Wanie's and there was one on eBay two years ago that went for $700. Now Mark has one and I think Wade has one too. OK, maybe 8. Mike

Sorry if I came across that way Peter .....
I did not mean anything by it other than just making
an observation.
You say you have never seen one in person ...... I have never seen a
82 SPRINTFIRE or a 82 SNOWFIRE in person ..... few people have I'm sure!

OK if you look at the Parts fitche it says that the 84 Liquifire model & serial number should read MOLQFRX & the first one should start out with # 2850001
I also know that there was a few with the model/serial number that started out with J44LM which by the parts fitche was a 1983 production Liquifire, BUT they had a 10 / 83 date stamp????
So were they 84 liquifires made with left over tunnels from the 83's but used a production date stamp of 10/83 to make them 84's??????????????
Or were they the very first 84 production liquifires that had the old J44LM serial number tags that had gone down the line before Deere had gotten the new tags that started with MOLQFRX?????
