Handwarmer wiring

Post by guitardude081 »

I have Polaris style handwarmers on my Liquifire right now. I am wondering where I should hook them up for power, and where a good ground is. They draw around 25 watts on high. I am a day or two from the initial startup of the sled, and I'm going to burn a tank of gas in the first ride. I'm gonna probably need working warmers.

Jack what year Liquifire are you working on? If an older on 78 or older there is a wireing block behind the right hand foot peg. if a newer one 80+ then there should be some unused plugs under the dash that have yellow (what you should use as your hot wire to your on/off switch for your hand warmers) Black & or Brown (you will have to decide which one of these is a ground & use it to ground your hand warmers) the yellow should be coming out of your lighting coil & the black or the brown should be a direct ground to the motor.
