liquidator piston rings

Post by _FIII »

I don't know if anyone else has had a problem finding rings for dator pistons, but I did. My local parts supplier can get wrist pins, circlips, needle bearings and we found rings that will fit. I found a couple of NOS dator pistons that were missing wrist pins and rings. Problem being that the grove in the piston is real small and I couldn't find a ring that was thin enough. The last one we checked today was from a 340 Yamaha Ovation. They fit pretty nice and hopefully will work fine. I thought this info might be handy for someone else.
