Did a 1980 440 LF use a different CDI box than a 1981 LF? I have a 1981 LF with a bad CDI box, it seems like I will have to pull the motor to get it off, it is held on with big phillips screws and no room to get at them. I have a 1980 440 LF parts sled and a 1983 440 LF parts sled will either of those CDI boxes work on the 1981?

Id bet they are aslong as they have the same amount of wires and plugs. I used a trailfire cdi on a invader motor which is very similar to the lf and yes that bottom screw was a bear think I had to remove the radiator and carbs.
