Im working on an 82 Trailfire LX, thats been sitting for years and years. I got it running for the very first time about an hour ago. It runs real nice.
The only thing I really need to find for this sled at the moment is something to replace the torn boot between the carb and airbox.
Im pretty sure it was used on the later Sportfires, and possibly a few others. I was thinking that someone has probably ran into the same problem reviving dried out sleds.
So does anyone know of something that will work, or a boot that fits from another sled? Nos?
Any help would be killer!

to me they look like a plumbing item I have seen. Its just a rubber reducer iirc. I think I remember seening somthing similar looking in the hardware store. I don't know about the sizes, but you could check at least. I don't have a TF anymore, so I can't help much more than that.

No dice at the hardware store.
There just has to bee a boot from maybe a different brand of sled that will work.
I got the suspension redone today. Its almost ready to ride, I just need this one part!

Ive never seen one on ebay, ever. This sucks...
I got a couple of other places im going to try yet.
A CV boot might work, but I dont know if you can buy just the boot, and it would be a pain in the ass to find one that fits.
Im sure there are other sleds, other than Deere that use them. Problem is which one?
