Couple questions. I finally havy my 83 LF running again for the yr and now I have the right belt for the tr800. Now I took it out last nite and now the eng only turns 7000 My question is how tight can I tighten the secondary spring? is there a heavier spring? its blue right now. I have it in #1 with a 1 ramp pretension. (tighter than #4 with no ramp pretension)
Thanks

You need to take weight off the arms in the primary. Don't try to adjust maintenance speed with the driven..

The secondary is shimmed properly. It wanted to creep when I first started. It had to be shimmed a fair amount. The bushings are ok, I went through it before I went out last nite. I was working on the cover bushing issue last yr. I believe that I have a green spring and fairly heavy weights. Engagement is about 5000. This thing will even idle at 1700. (I know it should be set higher)

I looked at my stash and have a TR800 with the red spring. Could that alone maybe fix my issue? I have seen the ramps but where could I get weights?
