Stator Question

Post by 427cobra »

Are the stators the same? Are the stators on Kawasaki engines swappable between the liquifire, trailfire, sportfire, sprintfire?

I am guessing you can??? If the connections are the same they should work.....

If you cant....what are the differences?

if you look up the part #'s in the parts manuals i believe that the sportfire and liquifires with serial #s <del>over </del> UNDER 190000 are the same part numbers. i whould imagine that all the stators whould be kinda interchangeable- whould probably be close enough to get it to run, but run the part #s first and get coils that match.

take it to the limit is correct- i read the book wrong, the stators for the sportfire and liquifire UNDER 190000 are the same
according to PC-1743 (02-NOV-83) sportfire the stator is AM55097 and in PC-1742 (04-JAN-84) liquifire the stator for liquifires below 190000 is AM55097 but over 190001 the stator is AM55530.
