Poked my head in to say "hello" to everyone. I check the forums every once in awhile just to see what's up but haven't been posting very much. I spent most of the winter feeding the cattle, the kitty cats and our two corn stoves. I didn't ride even once, it was just too cold.
I purchased a 76 Liquifire last fall but I think it's more likely parts than a rider. I've been trying to take on fewer projects and just focus on my wife, farm and job so my estimation of whether a snowmobile is worth saving has probably changed.
I don't really plan on any more sleds than the few I have. I have three pretty dependable riders (300, 400, JDX-8) and that is really enough for now. I told my wife that next year, I want to make some longer rides. I may invite my nephew along as he is excellent company plus his wife and mine can follow us and provide support.
I've noticed other people are like me in that they get a little more excited about their old sleds some years and sometimes their desire cools a bit. Next winter I will probably go nuts and buy every available John Deere I come across although probably just more 300's!
The site looks good and it is just as classy and information-packed as it always has been. Good Job, Matt!

Hi Grant, thanks for checking in. I was wondering what happened to you during the winter.
Keeping more then 2 or 3 old sleds RUNNING is a lot of work for anyone who is busy with work & family. It's a good idea to keep the collection limited.

Ive downsized by 6 deere sleds in the past 2 months myself did add back 2 more but Im still selling off a few more non deeres. Cant fix them all and our terrible riding this year has me in the dumps asfar as sleds go.

Yep, I just decided I would do a good job with a couple sleds instead of spreading my focus so widely. I think I will be more into trading some Liquifire parts for more 00/JDX stuff next winter. I'm also going to ride and have some fun next winter.
